“Having carried out a sludge test on 31st September, I have since carried out a further test a month later and the results were unbelievable. The sludge was reduced to 2" deep and the water has gone from being extremely cloudy to completely clear."
Mrs R., Essex.

Many lakes and ponds form a focus point for visitors who want to enjoy a pleasant walk on a spring day.

Over the winter months leaf litter can settle to form a dense silt in lakes/ponds. This sediment can cause many problems. For example, a process of biological decomposition within the silt releases nasty smelling odours. If left untreated the silt usually turns jet black, which acts as a source of turbidity giving the water a murky appearance. In some cases the sediment can block drains causing flooding.

This can lead to complaints from visitors and users.

These problems can be overcome by using Ecotreat Clear – a natural product that provides the following benefits:

Reduces sediment depth
Reduces foul smells from silt
Increases water clarity

One application of Ecotreat Clear is required per year and the best time to apply is in April/May to avoid problems in warm summer months.
